Payment Policy

EquiTrain NZ requires payment for session to be paid on the same day. Options of payment include Internet Banking or Cash. For Internet transfers, please ensure you provide your First Name as a Reference.

On-going training sessions can be organised individually with payment included. Invoices can be provided via Email at request of Client. Please enquire with any individual requests.

 

Cancellation Policy

We recognize that life is always changing, and sometimes horse’s go lame and gear breaks and weather is all over the show. If you find you or your horse is unable to complete session, please provide 24 hours notice to cancel lesson. We will do our best to find another session time, if applicable.

To cancel, you can Facebook message or text 0225844976 24 hours before lesson time. If you do not provide 24 hours, we will struggle to fill your lesson time, and therefore full payment of lesson is required. See payment policy for more details on how to complete payment. If you don’t show to lesson, this will also require full payment.

COVID 19 Levels

Christchurch’s weather is forever changing, so we keep it simple - and we will always teach in whatever weather. We offer lessons at all weather arena’s (Roydvale Pony Club) if you are worried about ground conditions. If you cancel lesson, it needs to comply with our cancellation policy (see above for more details). We will try accommodate with other session times, or can offer groundwork or turnout lessons if riding is not an option.

 

As we all know COVID-19 has impacted the world in numerous ways, including New Zealand. Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) have announced that riding instructors are able to provide instruction if they are able to adhere to relevant infection control measures, and that the service is within the region or adjacent to.

EquiTrain has now updated their Health and Safety procedures to accommodate the following guidelines.

  1. Social distancing of at least 2m must be applied throughout lesson - to improve this, please already be mounted before I arrive!

  2. Only private lessons will be offered in Level 3, Roydvale Pony Club is currently closed. This will be revised in Level 2

  3. Only Online payments are allowed, to eliminate Cash. As in line with our Payment Policy online payment is required on the same day of lesson.

  4. Please ensure all gear, and adjustments are made by rider (i.e. girth, tacking up, stirrups, gear fitting) to eliminate contact with Coach

  5. If you are feeling unwell and need to cancel your lesson, please communicate as soon as possible. Cancellation Policy does not apply.

  6. Due to eliminating risk, riders are asked to ensure their horse is in the appropriate work and able to be ridden safely. Ground work lessons are also available to reduce risk (i.e. green horses, breakers, returning to riding after spell, new combinations, switching disciplines).
